Engineering 2021, Volume 7, Issue 2,   Pages 260-271 doi: 10.1016/j.eng.2020.07.022

Abstract: In the meantime, the supplier correspondingly deals a multi-period delay-in-payments strategy with purchaserto develop a synergic inventory model to get the most profit by making an allowance for reworking, multi-perioddelay-in-payments policy, and shortages. The results demonstrate that profit is smaller if the permitted period given by supplier to buyer isequal to or greater than the cycle time, and profit is greater if the permitted period is smaller than

Carbon payments in the Guanzhong–Tianshui region to control land degradation

Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering 2017, Volume 4, Issue 2,   Pages 246-253 doi: 10.15302/J-FASE-2017144

Abstract: Carbon trading and carbon offset markets are potential policy options for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and climate change. A price on carbon is expected to generate demand for carbon offsets. In a market-based framework, the carbon price should be high enough to compensate for opportunity costs. We studied a highly-modified agricultural system in the Guanzhong–Tianshui economic region of China that is typical of many temperate agricultural zones in western China. We quantified the economic returns from agriculture and from carbon plantings (both monoculture and ecological plantings) under five carbon-price scenarios. The mean carbon sequestration is 34 Mg·hm ·a , and the average annual payment increased to 1146 CNY·hm at a medium carbon price of 50 CNY·Mg CO . Thus, areas of high priority for conservation and restoration may be restored relatively cheaply in the presence of a carbon market. Overall, however, less carbon is sequestered by ecological plantings (i.e., mixed native trees and shrubs) compared to agriculture.

Abstract: It is difficult to predict the ignition delay times for fuels with the two-stage ignition tendency becausesampling-high dimensional model representation (RS-HDMR) methods were employed to predict the ignition delayA detailed n-heptane chemical mechanism was used to calculate the fuel ignition delay times in the adiabaticBesides, the ignition delay times predicted by both types of correlations were validated against thoseTherefore, it is concluded that HDMR correlations are capable of predicting the ignition delay times

Leader-following synchronization of a multi-agent system with heterogeneous delays Research Articles

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 1,   Pages 1-140 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000207

Abstract: An algorithm is presented for leader-following synchronization of a composed of linear agents with . The presence of different delays in various agents can cause a synchronization error that does not converge to zero. However, the norm of this error can be bounded and this boundary is presented. The proof of the main results is formulated by means of linear matrix inequalities, and the size of this problem is independent of the number of agents. Results are illustrated through examples, highlighting the fact that the steady error is caused by heterogeneous delays and demonstrating the capability of the proposed algorithm to achieve synchronization up to a certain error.
